A lot of us DW fans like to have some fun and create our own models in the same way that Dave Deal would have .
I finished this one a couple of months ago after it sat unfinished for six years . It's based on one of Dave's many drawings and uses a Monogram body and frame that have been shortened with fabricated engine/headers , front and rear suspension , and rear wheels . The front wheels and other bits and pieces are from the Monogram kit and my parts box .
The biggest hurdle was coming up with a driver and is one reason it got shelved years ago . I finally settled on modifying a DW head and creating the body using Apoxie Sculpt .
Paint is Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red cleared with TS-13 .
A fun and very long build , I hope you like it !
