...You want to be buried with. Hi Fellas. Was just sitting here thinking about an old 'Ringo' kit of the P1800 Volvo, the only kit produced of that car, I Think? And how close I came to getting the only one I've seen on BeelzEbay, many years ago; but didn't! Curious to know what kits have eluded you for years, & you still haven't got?

First off, I want to be cremated, and secondly, I want all my kits to be with me, so my urn would have to be a railroad boxcar (what a gooey mess, LOL) I have 14 vintage Aurora kits, but this is the one that eludes me. It rarely comes for sale, and then it is way more than I want (or can) pay. It is one of the first kits I built as a kid, in 1967. I do have two "T for Two" kits, so I was gonna try and replicate it. But as far as good news on Grail kits I did get six of these, this year (not all at once) The 1/8 LA Street Chopper rerelease. Here is my original kit I got 30 years ago compared to the current release (on the left) My original release was the basis for this build I plan to combine these two, to build a 70's style Honda Chopper Sorry kind of went off the mark, what was your question again? LOL Oh yes, grails I haven't gotten yet. I have been searching for years for Revell 1/12 Yamaha and Husky Moto Crossers Plus I would like a Protar and Gunze Sangyo MC of any kind, just to round out the brands in my collection. Thanks Jim

Thanks for starting this thread,Kieran! I don’t know if I want to be buried with a kit, although it is a cool idea! Our oldest son is going to obtain the majority of my kits when I pass away. My wife and him know my desires for all my model kit “babies”. Lol. I really hope there will be an eventual grandchild who wants to build models. That’s a dream of mine. My son will be the curator, even though he doesn’t build, and can divvy up the kits accordingly.
As far as the kits that have eluded me for years……I have too many to mention. But,I will mention a few here. Monograms “Little Deuce” and “Yellow Jacket” come to mind. Then there’s Revell’s “Bug Bomb” Deals wheels kit. I could haven had a Little Deuce a ways back, but it slipped away! Probably my biggest grails that are so extremely over priced would be either Johan Hearse kits of the “Haulin Hearse” or the “Rrrrrroarin Rambulance” kits. I DO have the Hevenly Hearse which I am extremely grateful to own. I also have a box stock Johan Hearse that’s in the restoration stage. It got shelved when Bob passed away. There’s a few Tom Daniel kits that are grails as well.
On a side note, I had a lot of cool kits in my teens that went to Goodwill when my parents moved to Florida in the 80’s. I had some really cool builds and unbuilt kits. They also took my Hotwheels stuff to Goodwill. They never asked me if I wanted any of it,but back then I was such a stoner, I didn’t really care. I ain’t hatin on my folks,I just wish I had all those goodies back! Oh well, C’et La Vie!!!

This is the one I've been trying to track-down. It's also under the 'Palmer' label as well as 'Ringo'. There's another large resin kit, 1/16, of a German gun crew manning an 88mm on the deck of a sub that's out there too that I would like to jag, but it costs a bomb when it shows up. I'll try & find a pick? That's an impressive collection of Choppers man! I've got 3. 1 I bought as a junker many years ago at auction. The next was a recent release. And the last was another original, being sold very cheaply, I think? Because the dude saw the writing on the wall, & realized with the new version being on the market he'd better sell it while he could. Funny thing though, this kit, the original, was in Australia & I searched, & couldn't find anywhere selling the new release, & still can't? Found it!

That Volvo is cool, never saw that kit, what scale is it?
You have got a cool list there also Todd. Those are some tough ones to find. I have the Johan Hearses in die cast, (even those can be tough now)
Something similar happened to me when we moved once, I gave away all my Hot Wheels, Aurora tracks, and models, and my real Yamaha 175, because my dad said it was all too heavy. After we got moved the movers told me we were 1200 pounds under weight, so I coulda kept it all.

...I'm pretty sure it's 1/24 if I remember correctly? That's a nice looking Knuckle Jim. You should post more pics of it in the bike section. I'd love to see more of it man!

Last one of these I saw sold for over $200 !! Crazy prices these days . . . even the little show trailer goes for $80-$100 bucks . It looks identical (?) to the "T For Two" kit except for the decals so it should be easy to replicate , of course I always need the box to display so that's a big problem .
