I decided to build something simple after my challenging Ratfink Vega build,so this build for me was much like Keiran's attitude of needing a change of pace after his contests Mustang build. It was a much needed change of pace easy build.,so here goes...
I used Molotow chrome paint markers to detail around the windows,outer and inner door handles,inner window cranks,the front hood/trunk trim,side body trim also above the license plate,and the spare tire lug nuts, and I also used it to hand paint the VW logos on the rear mudflaps.More Molotow work is done on the front turn signal bezels.I hand painted the front turn signal lenses in clear amber,and hand painted the rear stop/turn/reverse light lenses as well.The tailpipes where Molotowed.too!!! I also did some dry brush work on the seats and door panels gray accents which the seats are pictured better in the lone picture without the body attached to the chassis assembly.Assembly went quickly,and it's cool this has so many things that open up.I have a soft spot for old VW Bugs for it was our first family vehicle for my parents when I was a little boy.Their Bug was blue,though. Enough banter,time for pix!
