Here is my finished Monogram "Swee Tee" Tom Daniel Model Build.It was easy to assemble,and it even has the phone hanging from the lower right side of the dash!!! It was a fun kit to do,and I'm proud to have finished this one!!!

Heres one of my entries, the one that should have been easy ! I was looking forward to the reissued kit as I had one as a kid ,but was disappointed that it was molded in bright yellow instead of the butterscotch Monogram used. I found this incomplete build up ; most of the part had been glued and most had been broken at one point , but I wanted to use as much original stuff as I could. I wet sanded the body to get the old glue prints off of it; Snoopy was a glued mess ; I was able to get the hard bits off and then soaked the pieces in hydrogen peroxide while sitting in the sun to bleach the white bits which worked, the upper wing was broken in half and both wing struts had to be repaired and glued in. The tail was broken, so I had to use the new kits tail, but did my best to match the paint. The decals are aftermarket replacements as the kits are stickers, and darker then the originals. I included the baron just as I built it then, just to have the two flying together like it was 1970 again !

Here's my Skipper Critter . I wanted to go with the original look as I hate centerline rims like the reissues had, luckily Todd was able to supply some with some rear tires. The rims were oddly melted, but I straightened them the best I could until I find others. Both the front and rears were changed during the reissue , so I dug around for some hubs for the front and rear that would work. Its not supposed to steer like the original either, but I got that to work as well. I was able to replace the clear film for the blue film glass the originals had. Paint is Testors Extreme Lacquer Teal and clearcoated ;the flash kind of washed out the bright teal color. Like all the kits in this series, it was a real PIA to build, but now I have the whole series in my collection !
