Been doing progress on rodfather and am enjoying it. Decided to paint the body grape purple as it suits well with the decal colors instead of navy blue.

..I ended-up going with the Revell 1/12 Mustang Just spent 2 days struggling to get this thing to 'sit' right. The front suspension was already fragmented when I got it, but even when I returned it all to original, it looked more like a 4x4. Replaced the front tyres for the smaller 1/12 Camaro type. I'd appreciate some opinions on whether it looks 'right'? I'm sick of staring at the bloody thing & You lot would have a better chance, I'm hoping, from having them around them more, of knowing? More work done on the front to alleviate the bulldog/flattened nose look that it has in the original kit form. Odds & ends that had to be made & the bonnet was modified so the intake will sit directly on the carbs', what we call a 'Shaker' in down here in 'straya.

Wheel wells look good in relation to the tires as well. I think those Camaro tires look good on it no matter how wrong that sounds. Old Henry wouldn’t have wanted any Chevy parts on his beloved Fords! Ha Ha! Todd

...Thanks man! Yeah the original wheels/tyres are 16" 1:1 scale which are a bit too bulky. So, I'll use the Camaro Cragar rims front & rear, smaller Camaro tyres on the front & the larger original tyres on the back with an insert to deepen them. DONE!

Looks great, Kieran I'm a Cragar S/S guy all the way, (got a set on my 72 Camaro, and a pair sitting here in the living room) There is not a lot to work with in 1/12 scale, so this is a perfect combo. And the deepened rears and other parts look good also.
keep up the good work

Thanks Guys! Here’s a couple of in progress shots of the some of the painted stuff and the interior mocked to the body and frame. I even found a phone from a builder I got a ways back. That was some fun plastic parts removal without damaging the phone! It’s mounted on the lower right of the dash. Thanks for looking! Todd

Well,I got some paint work done on my Rat Vega WIP. I think our warm days are done here until next year in my part of the world. I love Tamiya spray paints! I feel our buddy Bob -(Hotwheels)-smiling down on me!! This will be a tribute build for him,but it won’t be the only one! Todd
