A couple of parts that are off -but broke in the process ! Due to massive amounts of glue ,some parts will never come off ; I will have to work around them ..

The ring for the steering wheel is long gone, but this steering wheel from the parts bin will donate to the cause ! The engine will never come apart , so I did my best to detail it as an assembled unit

The front end was put together badly ; the spindles were backward and the connecting rod ends were sticking out the front. Once that was fixed I had to drill out where the pins were since they were broken off and of course both broke in the process but I was able to get them somewhat together again. Since the center link was gone and there were no pins, I fashioned one from the only thing that was narrow enough- A Christmas ornament hanger ! Its not beautiful, but it now steers again. The mounting pin on the top of the spring was also broken off ,so I drilled it out and used a piece of a shock absorber from the parts bin to make a new one.

G’Day All Thought I would post some progress shots of the BRB (Big Red Baron) Got the main body ready for paint. The front axels had been snapped off and required steel pins. The rear suspension had been broken in three places and required steel pins as well. The exhaust manifold had been mangled and required a lot of filler to fix the sink holes, Super glue and Talc to the rescue.

...Looking forward to this being finished Rodger. I've got the same kit & I'm waiting for someone to do a more recent build so I can get a look at what's in store for me?! Great job so far man!
