Per Request ....I had completed these two kits in the past. It came out with some modification to create a better character. I created some addition to the Ferd, technically it doesnt have a spoiler, front bumper, headlight bezels and graphic work on side of the car. I had to scratch build them.. here are the pictures. The chassis is basically simple build with an addition of spark plug wires. There also an extensive work on exhaust pipes. I worked on making sure the connection between tips and pipes becomes clear and invisible.. its a painstaking work ! The top view of this model as it was out off the building table.. fresh paint. and as for the Mailbu.. it was basically straight build, no addition was made to the work. Only special type of paint. which is chameleon like color that changes from green to blue... The interior is a bit dark, but basically straight build with just paint It was built long before i started doing ferd with many advanced level of work invested in there. The front of the car... with simple paint of stripes to accompany the car.

Thanks for sharing pictures of these two awesome builds!!!! They are both spectacular! The Ferd really pops with all of its extra added touches!!!And the Malibu paint body paint job is really trippy!!! Hey,what color did you use for the Ferd??? And,was it an airbrush paint job,or a rattle can spray paint job??? I have a build I am about to start, and the Ferd is painted in a similar shade that I am looking for. Todd

ITs from aerosal spray can... transparent red... I painted gold over the car first and then apply the red over. You would see the gold shade and some what a subtle glitter. Silver or Gold paint as a base then apply the transparent color would give a sheer shine. Usually it takes time for the base to dry solid before you apply another layer. Be sure to let it dry more than 48 hours. if the base is not completely dried and then you apply new paint. It will not give much shine as a result. By the way, I forgot to mention that the ferd one was once a terrible glue bomb. Bought off the e bay with no wheels and the chassis was damaged. I had to scratch build them and the body was pretty good but window was glued on and could not take it off to work on body. I had the chance to slide the paper in between the body and window to cover the glass... whew managed to get them right on

Hi all again, I found a pic of before and after the Ferd phony car... this was before as I got it from e bay a couple of years back. It has not reissue and it was scarce and hard to find...I had the opportunity to get this one with this condition for a lowest price I can afford. Luckily I had some few extras in the parts box that belongs to the car. the tires were missing when I got the kit and I had them in the box.. The inside part of the car was already glued together... took me a while to take them apart as I put in freezer to chill up and hope to " crack " the glue and some times I have to use glue debonder... and well to the last draw , I had to literally break them off and re-glue them some... but it happened to maybe one or two pieces.. and was able to clean up and re-glue with no evidence of damages. The windshield was in great shape but.. unfortunately is not able to take off... I was lucky that the lower part of the windshield was not glued so I placed paper in between and take them to hold for a while as I do the paint work.. you could also see the exhaust pipes already broken in pieces... took me time to glue them all together and place on the engine... ugh delicately !!! The mailbu was straight from box as I was lucky to buy one for a real low price. The e bay had about maybe 20 listing of the same kit ... this gave me the opportunity to buy one at a best price.
