....BUT it's the 1st. thing we look at when we get here.
This should be in tips & tricks section but my excitement got the better of me,You'll notice 'cause I'm typing with two fingers for this.
We've ALL had troubles masking small areas when airbrushing, sometimes we'll even for go the extra detail because we know whatever we use will in all likely hood tear the paint from another section, you've probably tried the paint-on masking stuff, but trying to get that off usually means destroying what You set-out to achieve....YES?! Small coloured panels within larger coloured panels ala buckets & old school rods, trying to get a hard edge without that feathered dusty look that even the finest nozzle leaves & having the steadiest of hands whilst doing it,spraying between heart beats as it were.
I was trying to figure out a way of achieving this for the '66 Barracuda? Then it hit me,something You can cut up to a line with, follow a design You've created & not have to be 'johnny-octopus' trying to mask it,something You can paint on & wash off with warm water.....wait for it.....little more.....DISH WASHING LIQUID! YES! That's it,I tried a few test panels & it worked brilliantly, cut it all in with a brush, sprayed it,let it dry & washed it off, used a cotton bud or a Q-tip as You refer to them along the edge & it did the job, trick is to NOT load the edge up with to much paint as it forms a skin leaves faint jaggered edge. Give it a shot! DISH WASHING LIQUID....magic!
Damn I'm Good.....no life but Good!
