Well guys,I have to admit,I'm really not into figure models.However,have you ever seen anything and viewed it as a valuable collectible???
Well I scored a Star Trek "Mr Spock" big scale figure model at a local antique store today (10-7).I did some searching on Fleabay,and it appears my collectible "hunch" about this kit is correct.It had several different boxes thru the years,but this one is the original issue.Not all of the issues had "Star Trek" on them (must be a license thing that AMT was able to pull off early in this kits life).The powder blue at the top of the box is more rare too.....

It's complete,and unbuilt.

It may end up on an auction site.....Never sold on Fleabay,but there is always a first time! LOL

So what do you guys think about the value of this thing?

I would check in the completed auction section of Ebay. You see if any were sold ,and what they went for .That's what I do when I have something to sell, that way I can see if its even worth posting. The Spock kit should have some value, its the first issue, unbuilt, and its a sci-fi collectible - good score !

The Thunderbirds were great !! Now maybe you can answer a question for me about the show- What does F A B mean ? Its been bugging me since I was a kid !

The coolest thing about this kit?

It has to be the box art. I now have thoughts of keeping this kit mainly because of the box art itself.It takes you back to a time when it actually meant something to have a kit for more than it's contents.I have several kits that I have bought mainly because of the artwork on the box with my favorite being a builder of a Deals Wheels "Stink Ray".

A thread has been started for you all to share kits that you own that you love the box art.
