Very nice Don. I love this kit! I've kit bashed it and have built it many times box stock. I'm glad they reissued the kit with the figures again. Since we're on the topic of Tom Daniel, I see the cherry bomb is coming out. I see some sellers on ebay already selling it. I thought this issue was supposed to have the green glass. The new box shows just the regular clear.....hmmmm bummer.

Since we're on the topic of Tom Daniel, I see the cherry bomb is coming out. I see some sellers on ebay already selling it. I thought this issue was supposed to have the green glass. The new box shows just the regular clear.....hmmmm bummer. Well,Doncar,I got some TD "Cherry Bomb" trivia for you.
The original issue had Green Tinted clear pieces which also had green clear headlight mounts, and a green brake/taillight lens for the chopper.I know this about the green parts, cause I found a builder I just robbed said pieces from to build a newer issue like the original version. The first reissue had smoked clear pieces. And all of the rest of the reissues have regular clear pieces in the kits contents. The only other difference besides the different box art on the Cherry Bomb kits is the original and possibly the 1st reissue Cherry Bombs had an extra yellow stripe on the inside of the white stripe on the decal sheet.
On a side note,I built the one with the smoked clear pieces in the 70's.I built another a few years ago,and over-tinted the lenses on the car.I also didn't paint either body on the two Cherry Bomb builds that I have done in my life. Been wanting to do another one back to it's original form.I am really considering building it before it gets cold out...Got the chopper in the freezer right now trying to help the glue debond so I can salvage the taillight lens from it.
Sorry Don,didn't mean to side-track this thread..... Todd

I forgot about the smoke glass version. I might have to tint the reissues glass green as well.
