Not mine, back in the day I used my dad's drill, but the concept is the same, pretty neat: Helps take the guess work out:

....my Old Man had a similar set-up,anything you could attach to a drill,He had & a lathe was one of them.

yeah, dad had the drill mounted, on a some type of table, with the tool holder that slid front to back on it, the other end was just a free spinning looked like another chuck from a drill, don't think OSHA would approve, but once I got the hang of it it was pretty kewl
