Yeah ,I know, LONG SHOT here . I really need a front axle from either of these cars. The one off the gluebomb I got is broken in several places and theres a chunk of it on the body that has to be ground off the body.
You wouldn't happen to know if the front axle is unique to this model do you? It kinda looks similar to the "Sand Shark" axle....the Horn Toad had huge tires,though....I bet AJ at the Coffin Corner would know.Just a hunch!

I think its just the Rattler and the Toad ,but now you have me thinking . The Rattler and later 'Toads used the same small tires, so I think its the hubs that are different and the axles are the same. I sent a PM to AJ ; hopefully he will see it. I don't think he logs in as much as he used to.

I went through my builds and it looks like the axle is unique to the two kits only. AJ got a hold of me and he confirmed this so , its going to be a little tough redoing this one !

Oh yeah , my gasser ! That thing is ticking me off so I took a short break from it. First off, the left door hinge has so much flash on it that the pins to hold it on the door are gone ,so I'm digging around for one of those. Then I look for the steering link, and find that it fell out a tear in the box and it ended up dried up in a glue blob that was on a peice of scrap, so I had to pry that out and drill one of the link holes out . Oh yeah, the hood fell off while it was being painted, so I had to strip and repaint it -And I thought my Henry J build was giving me fits !

I can laugh now, but the other night I was boiling mad ! I know we have all been in the same boat; theres that one kit that really kicked our butt- sometimes so badly that we either packed it up or threw it out (or against a wall !) If the paint hadn't come out as good as it did I would have started building another gasser
You know your kits- They are part #3 and 16 ! If you have a spare set, I could REALLY use them.
I'll owe you again, so let me know how I can help you out-cash, parts, etc.
I probably should have glued the doors shut - my Henry J sits in a showcase, never to have the doors opened again ,but I figured it would be a challenge since few of my kits have opening doors.

I got my horn Toad parts ! Bob got me the number to Steve H. , who had the missing bits I needed . I got so excited I spent a couple hours in the basement digging out the glue filled holes in the Toads chassis. Its going to be a slow rebuild, but I now have everything I'll need to restore it (except time ! LOL)
