Stoopid Question time. I noticed that one game is played Thursday night and the rest are Sunday. Our local comp (AFL) plays a few games Thursday night and one on Friday night and the rest over the weekend.
The last one being Sunday night. Just curious.

Rodger, Here in the good ol'U.S.A our wonderful Greedy with- a -capital G NFL decided several years ago to have games on Thursday,Saturday (in December),Sunday, and Monday.Part of the reason the players get such insane amounts of cash in their contracts is because of all of the Television Network contracts. As an example,Sunday Night Football on the NBC network continues to get good television ratings which causes a ripple effect in advertising-commercials. The Super Bowl in February draws some of the highest fees charged to advertisers, and it happens year after year.American Football is the most watched sport in the U.S.A,and it's revenue reflects that! Hope this clears it up! Todd

Thanks Todd Figured the there would be Buck$ involved. AFL is the most watched sport as well. The league decided on a bigger foot print across the week. The decision has been made to play a game on Good Friday next year for the first time. Once again money talks. Thanks Todd
