I was reading the Show Rod Model Book today,and ran across some "Mystery Zingers" made by the Older Polar Lights company,(not the current Round 2 owned Polar Lights). I am looking for any information on these.These pictures are from Tres Wright.I had thought of PM'ing him at the Coffin Corner to find out more info....Any of you ever seen these fabled Zingers anywhere?
  They are pretty cool....IF they exist! Not to mention Rare!!!!

Never heard of these boss & that Vee-Dub looks to contemporary,the 'zingers' were from years back & just re-issued from what I understand? The late model car with modern band reference seems out of place to me.

My guess is that these were ideas Round 2 was messing around with and they never got any farther than the drawing stage. Maybe they had visions of using some of the old Zingers tooling and updating the bodies. The Camaro has the same engine and headers as the Dodge Van Zinger, and the new VW engine is the same as the old VW. engine . Then again, these are snap kits, so they would have to retool the old parts for that so who knows ?  |

Hey Todd, These pictures are all I've seen of these. I think Don is right.
The Camaro looked cool to me....I would have at least like to have seen that one produced!
